About Miss Lori
Miss Lori is both a musician and a parent — two credentials she feels are vital in order to be successful in teaching music to young children. She started teaching in New York City, working in several private music schools. Upon relocating to New Jersey, Miss Lori worked at the Monmouth Conservatory of Music where she took the fledgling Doors to Music program to renowned heights.
Miss Lori has run several musical programs for youngsters in Marlboro Township and worked in the town’s public schools writing shows for grades K-6. She has taught music and musical theater in many private schools throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties, including the Home Away From Home Academy, The Family Montessori School, and St. Rose of Belmar Elementary School. She has also written and directed several children’s musicals for The Marlboro Players.
She taught a highly successful keyboard program in the Red Bank Public Schools in conjunction with a project funded by PNC Bank. Miss Lori served as one of the directors for Bossom International, a charitable organization dedicated to inspiring “the art of goodness” in our children. She headed Cultural Education For Kids, which promoted literacy and tolerance through its reading programs and projects.
Miss Lori's most recent project has been an annual Kids For Kids fundraiser to benefit research for Usher 1-F. The kids in La Petite Musique have raised thousands of dollars for the cause. The next Kids for Kids fundraiser will take place in the winter of 2022.
Miss Lori loves music but she loves teaching children even more!
